Miriam Prandi announces her first solo album, “Bach · Cello Suites”, out on January 16. The first single, “Suite No. 2 in D Minor, BWV 1008: Courante”, is now available online.
A new chapter begins in the artistic journey of Miriam Prandi, one of the most refined performers of her generation.
Her first single is now available on all major streaming platforms, marking the beginning of her solo recording project, “Bach · Cello Suites”, which is set for release on January 16, 2026.
The piece chosen to inaugurate this path is the Courante from Suite No. 2 in D Minor, BWV 1008, a dance of breath and tension, a constant dialogue between impulse and stillness.
“For me, Bach speaks a universal language, an alphabet of emotions that transcends time, place, and tradition. Each Suite is a world of its own, a journey through light and shadow, through dance and contemplation.” - Miriam Prandi
Recorded on a Giovanni Grancino cello (1712), fitted with modern strings specially selected with the Thomastik-Infeld team, the album was born from a desire to build a bridge between past and present. A sound deeply rooted in Baroque tradition yet speaking the language of our time: clear, luminous, and capable of reaching new audiences without losing its authenticity.
